Brach's Redesign
Brach’s is a brand redesign made for a Pop-up shop. I remade the logo and designed relevant packaging. The objective was to create the products with a fun playful and modern aesthetic I love candy and wanted to explore the use of candy shapes. I chose to have circles as a design element because they express movement and energy. (which may or may not be a side effect of too much sugar)
Kinetic Vision
Kinetic Visions is an environmental project that was made to support an eco-friendly cause. I based my project on wind power to support renewable energy. I felt that wind was an element that could lead to fun and creative symbols and designs. The goal was to make designs that were crisp and clean to reflect clean energy.
CD Album
This is an album design for the band Florence and the Machine. Her music makes me think of nature and the ethereal. My aesthetic goal was to convey the feeling of the music. I used forest imagery to express the spiritual aspect of her songs. The titles of the covers are handmade words using organic materials like leaves, flowers, and sticks. All featured imagery is original.
Event Poster
The goal was to typographically express the phrase inside out upside down. The assignment led to creating an event poster. I wanted to use a diagonal composition to compliment the dynamic layout.
Editorial Spreads
Timeline is a periodical that focuses on articles related to design history. The spreads are an exploration of composition. All text and images are from the original article.
Event Poster
This poster was made for a fictional lecture series on architect Zaha Hadid. I loved Hadid’s unique and organic buildings. I wanted to explore that aspect by creating curves that mimicked her shapely architecture.
Type Book
The goal of the project was to represent the importance of women in the history of America. All excerpts are from the book They Fought like Demons by De Anne Blanton. Since the intent was to celebrate women, the aesthetic relates to womanly connotations of the period. All images are my own etching and the embroidery was created on a machine.
Thesis
The following are posters that I made for my senior thesis. The goal was to make a series of expressive posters for different songs. Music itself is very expressive, and I wanted to make a visual representation of a song’s mood. All the songs chosen have the element of love in them. All artwork is original.
